First-of-its-kind Search Engine to Deliver more Relevant Search Results to the Black Community

RushmoreDrive.com does not confront search giant Google head on, says Yankee Group analyst Mike Goodman. "You have to attack them on the flanks, and that's what makes sense here. There are a lot of things that are unique about the black marketplace, and it is that kind of differentiation that RushmoreDrive brings."

...it will be the same as this forum....same false concept, same results....but since we know what we MIGHT expect, it can't hurt to try...it's only been the things we refused to know beforehand that really hurt us when they blew up...that's what I think, anyway...

Not true. there is good article infomation about somali choose Christian life over slavery and rape. Somali today want peace and christianity.

23-year-old Somalian finds 'heaven' here

Yakob H. Mohamed has seen more pain in his 23 years than most people will witness in a lifetime. He was only 7 when his beloved grandfather was slaughtered before his eyes by bandits during the Somali civil war.

He grew up in squalid refugee camps in Kenya where women were raped while collecting firewood and men were murdered over a pittance of rice. While at the camps he worked as a medical rescue worker, riding his bike through the sand to watch countless children succumb to diarrhea and malnutrition. Two years ago he left his homeland to start anew in a strange, foreign land — America.

Yet Mohamed displays the kind of strength and resilience that is so much a part of this country's immigrant experience. He has emerged as a leader in the local Somali Bantu community, a 200-strong group that relocated here two years ago with the help of the U.S. government and the Catholic Charities Refugee Resettlement Program.

Dreams of his new life have come true in his adopted homeland.

"America is heaven," he says, a small smile softening his steadfast earnestness.

Mohamed sits at a table in a North Side apartment complex where a large group of the Somali Bantu live. Every wall in the apartment has been covered with beautifully stitched fabrics, reminders of Africa. Outside, young Somali Bantu children romp and play.

He explains that the Somali Bantu were slaves in Somalia for 200 years. When the civil war broke out, they were persecuted even more. After fleeing with his family to the camps in Kenya, Mohamed pushed himself to go to school and learn English, even though his former Somali slave masters heckled him, calling him adoon, or slave.

His English has paid off. Two years ago, when 12,000 Somali Bantu were relocated to the United States, Mohamed lost no time finding work. In addition to acting as a translator at local schools attended by Somali Bantu students, he earned a nurse's aide certificate last year and now has a full-time job as a patient-care assistant at a San Antonio hospital. He also works as a translator and troubleshooter for his fellow countrymen.

He bought his own car (which sports a "Proud to be an American" bumper sticker) and makes a good living for his wife, Arbey, and their two young children.

He dreams of going to college to become a doctor. He has nothing but good words for his new homeland.

"You can go to school here, pray, there is freedom of movement," he says. "There is no discriminating here and no fear of raping and killing".
