Finally! R. Kelly Trial Set To Start Today: But defense lawyers are still trying to delay start.

I agree, Finally! No one can deny that R. Kelly is a genius in the field of music, but if the allegations are correct, and it appears to be they are, the man needs help and punishment. Money and fame should NOT give an individual the right to supersede the law, particularly in the case of children. Abuse of children is the worst crime followed closely by the abuse of women. Both crimes in foreign countries would be a death sentence, but in America there are so many freaks 25% of the society would be sentenced to death, including the judges, layers and police.

This is a case that will determine how far Blacks have fallen from our culture and values, by the way we respond to this case.

After six years I hope that there is legitimate
matter worth examination for such an accusation.
I don't know if it is only my observation.
As I can recall in the past several months
Michael Vick, Marion Jones, Barry Bonds, Wesley Snipes and all over again R.Kelly is now on call and trial for something that he could have done.

The video that is supposed to ear mark him
guilty is framable and accessible for innovative
incrimination he's innocent until proven guilty
instead of guilty until proven innocent!.

R Kelly is a pervert. It is about time this case went to trial. While it is true that he could've been considered a genius, he has also fallen for the bullshit and makes the same stupid hip-hop music at the age of what 40? Or something close.

The man did make beautiful songs, but if he was just a regular joe on the streets, that ass would've already been locked up.

This is NOT a racial issue! This is more about the fact that he has the money to drag this out for 6 years but in my opinion why would he need to do that if he felt he was innocent?? I know if I were about to go on trial for anything I would be in a hurry to prove my innocence not delay it. Your post all the way up until the last sentence was very well written. I think you could have left that last part out.

If he was some regular working class Joe on the street he would have been under the jail by now!! I know if it had been my child I don't think he would have been walking the streets for the last 6 years, period. I don't care if he was purple it's just wrong on every level of humanity.

I agree. Let him have been just a nobody and he would being doing at least 20 years right now. If he gets off I promise you that I will quit school (Criminal Justice) and leave the damn country!! Because then it looks like the judicial system is more concerned with celebrity and $$$$$ then they are about justice. I won't be a part of that type of system. Pretty soon people are going to really be holding court in the streets and then what are we going to do?

Actually...they did get married. But they quickly got it annulled. Which thankfully was done I hate to think how she would have turned out if she had stayed married to him. That guy is twisted somewhere in his mind, he needs help. My oldest daughter just turned 15 and it scares me to think how many a$$holes out there like Kelly that would be attracted to her. In my eyes she is still a child.
