Letts, 47, beat out other nominees Tom Hanks, Nathan Lane, Dave Hyde Pierce and Tom Sturridge for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play.

Cheeks was 284-286 in the regular season and 5-11 in the playoffs as coach of the Philadelphia 76ers and Portland Trail Blazers.
