Former Durant resident playwright and actor Tracy Letts won a Tony award as best actor Sunday for his role as George in the 50th anniversary Broadway revival of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" Letts, 47, beat out other nominees Tom Hanks, Nathan Lane, Dave Hyde Pierce and Tom Sturridge for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play.
