Driver charged in possible dragging
A Moultrie man was charged Monday after he allegedly got into an argument with a woman and possibly dragged her on a truck Saturday night.
A suspect in a cocaine case took local narcotics agents on a long chase along a long dirt road in Brooks County.
Two men remained in jail Wednesday, charged with the slaying of Marques Thornton of Moultrie on Monday.
Thomas County Fire Department officials are advising residents to not be alarmed by plastic bags over some fire hydrants in the six municipalities under its jurisdiction.
Carter Gillies, a local potter who also teaches at Good Dirt, will sell his wares.
